My First Sewing Class Experience

I was quite pleased when i made my first pivot as long as you dont turn my skirt and top upside down to examine the stiches it looks lovely.

The class was to get started at 8:00am and to close by 6:00pm but i was seated before 8:00am ready and eager to learn and of course sew but i ended up closing 9:30 pm instead. Yes you can sew in a day. We were taught how to thread a machine , insert bobbin, step on the pedal of the machine like you are driving and other basis needed.

We started off by learning how to sew a gathered skirt. Some were fast to learn while some of us did not find it easy, already stressed and looking wornout. She gave us fingerfoods and  juice to calm our nerves so as to enhance learning. Most people were done with their skirt but i was left still battling with my zip and some other parts. I am a fast learner but the sewing class proved other wise .

Fastforward to making the top which was supposed to be an off shoulder with gathered drape which took me extra hours again after most people were done with theirs. You cant blame me though it was my first time. Finally i was done and my teacher was ready to see me wear what i made as she did to every student this was around 9:00pm. It was an adventurous and funny day as i had unknowingly  changed my style to a monostraped draped top. Everyone liked my style cause i was the only different one and they all asked how i did it. I could not understand cause i followed the same instruction given by Nedu ( Teacher)

Here is what we were asked to sew above which is the yellow and peach off shoulder Top while the red monostrap  is a picture of what i sewed the professional pictures of my outfit isnt out yet. It was so much fun learning from Nedu and my class mates. I am looking forward to showcasing the other stuff i have sewn as i learn professionally.

No dream is too big , Try new things you can do it. I can cook and sew👗🍲

OBE ILA ASEPO (Okro Soup)

Hello everyone, hope you all had a lovely weekend? Mine was stressful and beautiful. There is a slight difference between obe ila asepo and sea food okra soup. Yes there is. This is actually my mom's best soup. It is the fastest soup to make just like indomie and it is also very economical.  When i was much younger we used grinding stone to blend the sliced okro and we just hit it in style.  That was the most stressfull thing i was asked to do lol but thank God for google now i use blender though my mom still uses grinding stone i think it tastes better but common i cant stress myself. Jibola Speaks : Work Smart not Hard in 2018

Happy New Year Blogfam! It's a new year people! Many of us have listed our new year resolution but if I may ask how many of us truly live by our resolutions. Do you just write because people do or you really do live by your resolution . Let's say you accomplished the one you wrote for 2017 then well done💪. For me I stopped writing at the end of the year a long time ago although I usually have plans mapped in my "head" of how I would love my year to go by but Who I Be? Lol God takes the wheel and surpasses my imagination, resolutions or goals. Personally, I do believe in setting goals for my life and I work towards achieveing them daily. However, I may not get it 100% that year but I sure won't be left at where I started at the beginnng of each year. One thing you should know is that you can make resolutions or map out strategies at any point in time. First quarter, second quarter or even the last part of the year the goal is to take a bold step then achieve ev...
