Fabric Weekend

Sometimes you see fabrics that just speaks to you. It may be the colour, print or pattern; you will just love it and instantly hear the voice "Buy me" lol....

Hi guys , Trust you are all doing fine. We would be talking about fabrics. Some of us struggle in choosing fabrics, styles ,how to wear them and look classy at the same time chicky.

Here are few tips on choosing fabrics.

☆The colour order is the art of choosing any fabric. Yes, some of us love to play with colours but you need to be very good at it in order to get it right or just stick to simple patterns colours or designs.

I have a friend that loves to wear black which is her best colour and can interchange with grey. Would you say she is scared of colours? No,she just chooses to keep it simple and believe me she still always look good.

☆ Dont be afraid to ask for opinions and help while shopping.... You could ask the sales person or a random customer what they think.

☆ What is your style? You should have a style? What do you intend sewing with the fabric, What kind of patterns or colours look good on you? Do you like the texture of the fabric or the feel when you touch it. You should put all these into consideration .

☆ Take a picture. Some of us are indecisive and are more calm when you seek a third parties opinion before making choices. You can take a picture of 3 -4 fabrics that draws your attention  and send it to that nosy but helpful friend that is mostly available to help you make good choices while shopping.

I hope i have been able to help you feel more secured and less tensed while shopping for fabrics this weekend.

Did i mention that we will be lunching our clothing line for Women? Bespoke ready to wear casuals by Kekeshop which will only be available in Apryl's Hub for placement of orders and delivery.

Check out this all shades of beauty rocking this african print. For me it is simple and stylish.

What do you all think? I will be reading comments.

Perboil meat and stock fish with seasoning. Do not add excess water while perboiling. Add blended tatashey and rodo when meat is tender. Add dried fish and palmoil  in the pepper stock and leave for 15 minutes so palm oil would have cooked with the stock. Add ogiri and leave to dissolve. Peel back of boiled cocoyam pound and add in morsels to meat stock like when making egusi balls. Then cover stock for cocoyam to dissolve. Add blended crayfish....

OBE ILA ASEPO (Okro Soup)

Hello everyone, hope you all had a lovely weekend? Mine was stressful and beautiful. There is a slight difference between obe ila asepo and sea food okra soup. Yes there is. This is actually my mom's best soup. It is the fastest soup to make just like indomie and it is also very economical.  When i was much younger we used grinding stone to blend the sliced okro and we just hit it in style.  That was the most stressfull thing i was asked to do lol but thank God for google now i use blender though my mom still uses grinding stone i think it tastes better but common i cant stress myself. Ingredients/Recipe Obe ILa Asepo ( Ondo style) Ingredients Okro Grounded pepper (Atagigun) Rodo Smoked fish Grounded crayfish Palm oil  Salt Seasoning cubes to taste Fish/meat/chicken  *Wash okro and slice in circles. * Put the sliced okro in a blender  and grind bristly for about 3 minutes(not smooth at all) *pour two glass cu...

Aso Ebi Price Tag

Hmmmmnnn... This is a very intresting topic i must say. As a yoruba girl. The word aso ebi means Cloths for Family i.e something that will distinguish family from visitors . Making the family members both nuclear and extended stand out in any ocassion. Suddenly, things changed and it became a general name for fabric sold out to people to wear to events. Weddings, Burial, house warming, birthday,Shop openings,Suprise parties and so on... There is nothing wrong with this though but the price tag on it is what boders me. Brides to be,or host of events and their families should always consider and remember people buy these fabric to show them they love them and are ready to celebrate with them or to be identified with them and not to put them in unnecessary expenses. This post is focusing majorly on brides to be so i will be dropping few points here alongside factors to consider when choosing or putting a price tag on aso ebi. As stated earlier, i personally have no issue with...
