Aso Ebi Price Tag

Hmmmmnnn... This is a very intresting topic i must say.

As a yoruba girl. The word aso ebi means Cloths for Family i.e something that will distinguish family from visitors . Making the family members both nuclear and extended stand out in any ocassion.

Suddenly, things changed and it became a general name for fabric sold out to people to wear to events. Weddings, Burial, house warming, birthday,Shop openings,Suprise parties and so on...

There is nothing wrong with this though but the price tag on it is what boders me. Brides to be,or host of events and their families should always consider and remember people buy these fabric to show them they love them and are ready to celebrate with them or to be identified with them and not to put them in unnecessary expenses.

This post is focusing majorly on brides to be so i will be dropping few points here alongside factors to consider when choosing or putting a price tag on aso ebi.

As stated earlier, i personally have no issue with aso ebi but i do have an issue with the price hike. This aso ebi thing has caused a lot of trouble among family and friends which is uncalled for as the parties involved always get somehow when you say you would wear the colour of the day or you cant afford the said amount.

Really, not like some of us cant afford it but that is not our priority for now. Yours is to get married while mine can be to pay for my rent , start my business, Support my family or save for rainy days. So you giving me a call out of the blues to pay you a huge amount for a fabric i might possibly not wear again after that day when the funds i have has been specifically calculated for certain things doesnt make me a bad person or does it?

I would talk more on this issue on my next post.

KEEP CALM...

OBE ILA ASEPO (Okro Soup)

Hello everyone, hope you all had a lovely weekend? Mine was stressful and beautiful. There is a slight difference between obe ila asepo and sea food okra soup. Yes there is. This is actually my mom's best soup. It is the fastest soup to make just like indomie and it is also very economical.  When i was much younger we used grinding stone to blend the sliced okro and we just hit it in style.  That was the most stressfull thing i was asked to do lol but thank God for google now i use blender though my mom still uses grinding stone i think it tastes better but common i cant stress myself. Jibola Speaks : Work Smart not Hard in 2018

Happy New Year Blogfam! It's a new year people! Many of us have listed our new year resolution but if I may ask how many of us truly live by our resolutions. Do you just write because people do or you really do live by your resolution . Let's say you accomplished the one you wrote for 2017 then well done💪. For me I stopped writing at the end of the year a long time ago although I usually have plans mapped in my "head" of how I would love my year to go by but Who I Be? Lol God takes the wheel and surpasses my imagination, resolutions or goals. Personally, I do believe in setting goals for my life and I work towards achieveing them daily. However, I may not get it 100% that year but I sure won't be left at where I started at the beginnng of each year. One thing you should know is that you can make resolutions or map out strategies at any point in time. First quarter, second quarter or even the last part of the year the goal is to take a bold step then achieve ev...
